The NOW KC, a fast-moving locally-produced news program, has chosen KJRH-TV morning news anchor, Justin Wilfon, as its host.
Both KJRH in Tulsa, Oklahoma and the NOW KC in Kansas City, Missouri are owned by The E.W. Scripps Company.
“I’ll miss my 2 Works for You family, but I’m happy to be staying in The E.W. Scripps Company,” says Wilfon. ”I’m very much looking forward to this incredible opportunity, and this big adventure in KC.”
Beginning in September, viewers can see Justin on the NOW KC weekdays at 4 p.m. on KSHB, or streaming on KSHB.com and the 41 Action News apps. You can follow on Twitter @TheNowKC.
The E.W. Scripps Company (NYSE: SSP) started redefining the afternoon news with the premiere of the NOW at two of its stations, KMGH in Denver, and KSHB - 41 Action News in Kansas City, Missouri, on July 14. The news program covers news that is trending on social media and invites the audience to join the conversation across traditional and digital media platforms.
The program is continuing to expand to six more Scripps markets, including WXYZ in Detroit, KNXV in Phoenix, WCPO in Cincinnati, WEWS in Cleveland, WFTS in Tampa, Florida, and WPTV in West Palm Beach, Florida.
