KMGH hosts second annual “We Believe in Colorado Day”

KMGH – 7News has teamed up with The Denver Broncos to host its second annual “We Believe in Colorado Day”.

The Scripps-owned ABC affiliate in Denver invited the community to join together to share pride in their state on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Denver Pavilions’ Plaza.

The station created the annual event last year following a tragic summer that included several wildfires and the deadly shooting inside a movie theater in Aurora.

Beginning at 10:30 a.m. supporters can download the 7News App for a free T-shirt and photo with Broncos cheerleaders in honor of the special day.

August 1 marks Colorado's admittance as the 38th state of the Union in 1876, and represents a day to celebrate the past, honor the present and look forward to the future of the state.

On "We Believe in Colorado Day," KMGH is asking people show their support for Colorado by stopping by for a free T-shirt or by flying the state flag and wearing the colors -- red, white, blue and gold.

Participants can also:

  • Visit TheDenverChannel.com and send in pictures displaying your flag, wearing the Colorado colors or any other way you're showing how you believe in Colorado.
  • Nominate a 7Everyday Hero who you think is making a difference in our community.
  • Follow 7NEWS on Twitter (@denverchannel) and Tweet your photos using #WeBelieveCO for a chance to see your photo on-air at 5pm or 10pm
