Dozens of entries with hundreds of thousands of lights brightened the streets of central Phoenix earlier this month during the APS Electric Light Parade.
ABC15, the Scripps affiliate in Phoenix, brought the parade into the homes of thousands across Arizona by broadcasting the festivities.
“I know TV parade coverage is no easy task, but I also must say that everyone on this team makes it look effortless at times. From the planning to the shooting to the post production, I know I speak for not just ABC15, but also much of the Valley community – when I say thank you for helping to put this Arizona holiday tradition on TV,” said Chris Kline, director of new media at KNXV.
Parade-watchers gathered for the festivities and lined the streets to see the Disney character Goofy, decked out as Santa, leading the parade as the Grand Marshal.
Entries for the parade followed the theme "Toys, Treasures and Traditions".
This year's parade marked the 26th straight year.
