WCPO, the Scripps ABC affiliate in Cincinnati is teaming up with the Red Cross and other local organizations to raise money for those who are in desperate need as a result of Superstorm Sandy.
WCPO will partner with the Red Cross, Salvation Army and Matthew 25: Ministries to host a storm relief phone bank on Friday, Nov. 2 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Volunteers will staff the phones in the studio to accept donations.
9News will release the phone number to call shortly before the start of the fundraising effort. Go to wcpo.com for details.
WCPO is serving its community by creating this opportunity for people to help. The damage and devastation might be hundreds of miles away, but WCPO's hosting of this special program makes it easy for people in the Cincinnati area to make a difference.
